SlowFade® Gold antifade reagent with DAPI
from
Molecular Probes (Invitrogen)
Description
The SlowFade® Gold antifade reagent is an aqueous antifade formulation containing glycerol. It is suitable for immediate viewing, but does not cure over time and so is not suitable for long-term storage of samples. The SlowFade® Gold antifade reagent reduces the photobleaching rate of fluorescein about five-fold. It does not quench fluorescein, and quenching of the Alexa Fluor® 350, Alexa Fluor® 405, Cascade Blue®, tetramethylrhodamine, and Texas Red® dyes is minimal. The SlowFade® Gold antifade reagent is also available without the blue-fluorescent nuclear counterstain, DAPI in a 10 mL (S36936) or 5 X 2 mL (S36937) packagings.
