Computer Intel Pentium IV based computer with 1 GB memory, 80 GB hard drive, CDRW and network compatible interface, enables the researcher to save images on a CD or send them around the world over the internet, right from the system.
Software Digital detector based units come with Kubtec’s DICOM compatible DIGICOM software with image analysis and report generation capabilities. Image analysis includes a plethora of filters and image enhancement tools.
Source A 30 – 80 keV constant potential source, with ability to save recipes based on time and output levels.
Monitor 19" digital flat screen monitor
Detectors Digital detectors from 2” x 2” to 8” x 8” in size, with up to 16 bit signal output representing over 65,000 shades of gray per image. This high magnification and contrast capability enables the researcher to image subtle features that heretofore were lost amid the background noise from analog detectors. The large detector size further facilitates imaging of large specimens in short time periods, without exposing them to extended doses of radiation. Choice of film or digital detector units for imaging both in-vivo or extracted organs and tissues.
Operator Interface Long noted as the industry leader in specimen radiography systems for clinical applications, KUBTEC’s XPERT 80, brings high quality imaging and ease of use to science and research.

The XPERT 80’s compact self-contained cabinet, with an x-ray source of up to 90kV, 1.0 mA provides the sharpest images for every application. Optional sources are also available for micro-focus and soft x-ray applications. Agriculture, drug development, animal research, forensic examination and non-destructive testing are among the fields where KUBTEC ’s XPERT 80 systems are deployed.

The XPERT 80 is fully compliant with international and U.S. Federal and State requirements for radiation safety and operates with a standard AC power source. All systems include a stainless steel interior chamber with the capacity to introduce anesthesia and cables for monitoring devices through multiple portals. Fans integrated into the system dissipate heat and ventilate the chamber. A mobile cart and wireless connectivity option provides users with the choice to operate in ifferent locations or herever dequate facilities are available.

With KUBTEC’s expansive suite of user-friendly image analysis software tools and high contrast digital detectors, the very minutest details can be enhanced for further examination.Images can be measured precisely, areas of interest located, annotated and saved in multiple formats, making the XPERT 80 the ideal tool for collaboration in scientific investigations.

Energy Range: 10-90 kV

Description

Kubtec introduces a breakthrough in specimen radiography. The XPERT represents a research tool that can provide up to 65,536 shades of gray in every digital x-ray image, thus being able to capture the smallest changes in density that heretofore were lost to the human eye. With features including digital detectors from 2” x 2” to 8” x 8” in size, multi-color digital operator interface, and a 19” digital flat panel monitor, the XPERT takes research capabilities to a whole new level. The DICOM compliant DIGICOM imaging software provides the broadest array of highly quantitative image analysis tools. Also available with film based imaging.
