streptavidin, Alexa Fluor® 594 conjugate *2 mg/mL*
from
Molecular Probes (Invitrogen)
Description
Our Streptavidin, Alexa Fluor 594 conjugate is a bright, red-fluorescent probe with excitation and emission characteristics similar to those of Texas Red dye (590/617 nm). Streptavidin is a nonglycosylated biotin-binding protein that is isolated from bacteria and has a near-neutral isoelectric point. It is widely used to detect biotinylated probes, because it reportedly exhibits less nonspecific binding than does the glycosylated, biotin-binding protein, avidin. Streptavidin, Alexa Fluor 594 is also available in a 1 mg size, S-11227.
