Description
The isomer-free, amine-reactive Alexa Fluor 647 carboxylic acid, succinimidyl ester dye and its conjugates are spectrally identical to the Cy5 dye, with excitation/emission maxima of ~650/668 nm. The Alexa Fluor 647 conjugates, however, are significantly brighter than conjugates prepared with the Cy5 dye. A 5 mg unit size (A-20106) is also available. Fluorescence of this long-wavelength Alexa Fluor dye is not visible to the human eye but is readily detected by most imaging systems.
