Description
The GeneMorph® II EZClone domain mutagenesis kit features an easy, fast and flexible cloning method so that targeted, unbiased Random Mutagenesis on individual protein domains can be performed. The kit uses Error-prone PCR, a random mutagenesis technique for introducing amino acid changes into proteins. The GeneMorph II EZ Clone method contains Mutazyme® II DNA polymerase, which introduces a more uniform mutational spectrum in which mutations at As and Ts occur at the same frequency as Gs and Cs. This allows you to generate all types of random mutations to more rapidly discover key sites responsible in structure-function relationships. With the EZClone feature, the entire process is completed in a day plus an overnight transformation. Mutant libraries are generated quickly and efficiently, and specific domains can be targeted for randomization with no need for unique restriction sites. Applications include: analysis of structure-function relationship of proteins as well as directed evolution of proteins, DNA/promoter elements
