Description
This Homeothermic Blanket and temperature control system is designed to actively maintain an animal's body temperature at a pre-set target value. A thermistor probe provides feedback to the controller about the animal's core body temperature. The controller adjusts current to the heating pad as needed to maintain the desired body temperature. No Broadcasting of Electrical Noise. The proportional DC power supply slowly varies current output to the heating element, based on the resistance of the monitoring thermistor probe. As a result, noise and current fluctuations are eliminated. A three digit LED display on the front panel indicates the temperature in tenths of a degree C.
The system comes with the controller, cable, probe and a medium (12.5x25cm) heating pad.
There are several sizes of additional heating pads available: small 10x12.5cm, large 25x25cm and the new extra small 6.5x9.5cm pad, which perfectly fits Stoelting's Mouse/Neonatal Rat Adaptor (part 51625).
