Carestream Automated Animal Heater
from
Carestream Molecular Imaging
Description
Under anesthesia the body temperature of rodents can drop, placing their health and your data in danger. Our new animal heater is designed to bathe your animals a continuous flow of warm air to maintain their body temperature during your most critical experiments.
Warming the air around animals maintains a comfortable environment during longitudinal studies. Other systems warm one side of your animal rather than wrapping them in a blanket of warm air. For metabolic studies, maintaining ambient temperature may be more important, because metabolism, body temperature, and the surrounding temperature are tightly coupled.
The new animal heater module contains automatic feedback regulation that lets you simply program in a temperature. The heater does the rest, regulating the air temperature around the animal to +/- 1 °C. The new animal heater is fully compatible with all existing Carestream In Vivo products, and comes ready to use with all required hoses, thermocouples, and power cords.
