Description
The Affymetrix® GeneChip® Node System is a compact, benchtop package that provides the necessary components for processing and analyzing GeneChip® probe arrays including Affymetrix' Total Desktop Mining Solution (TDMS). The system provides individual investigators and departmental groups access to GeneChip instrumentation and analysis tools at about one-third the cost of a full system. If you have local access to a GeneChip® Scanner 3000, a Node System gives you flexibility and control over your sample preparation and data analysis. Node users control the most important steps in the process: Sample preparation, hybridization, staining and analysis. The automated scanning process takes only a few minutes per array. Institutions with a campus-wide GeneChip system can greatly improve efficiencies with a centralized GeneChip® Scanner 3000 serving multiple, independent nodes. Departmental or individual nodes allow researchers to customize chip processing and to plan workflow, meeting individual needs while conserving research dollars.
