Description
This is an array of Infrared beams for detecting gross movements about the cage. Successive beam breaks are scored with an activity count. Facing bars of IR sensors and emitters are arranged on opposite sides to detect horizontal movement, and higher up to detect vertical movements (rearing).
The instrument is a clear plastic cage 41 x 41 x33 cm with sensors and emitters for horizontal and vertical movements, and an electronics unit with serial port for data collection. Use with the optional WIN-DAS software, or Tal Technologies Win-Wedge software.
A detachable floor facilitates cleaning.
