Description
For rapid screeing of multiple rats for drugs with analgesic action. Animal is placed and held on the instrument surface with the tail straight back and across in infrared light source. Light and clock are turned on by a foot pedal press, and go off automatically when the animal flicks its tail off the emitter. Latency is a meaure of analgesic effect.
Can be used in mice, but mouse must be held at 45 degree nose up angle to make the tail lie flat. The optional mouse restrainer is available to accomplish this.
