FLUOstar OPTIMA FL - upgradeable microplate reader with fluorescence and luminescence
The FLUOstar OPTIMA FL is an entry level microplate reader from BMG LABTECH that offers three detection modes:
• Fluorescence Intensity - including FRET and multilable applications
• Time-Resolved Fluorescence - including DELFIA®
• High-Performance Luminescence (flash and glow) - DLReadyTM certified
The versatile FLUOstar Optima FL can support a wide variety of microplate-based assays in all major application areas including biomolecular interaction monitoring, cell-based drug discovery assays, enzyme activity measurements, quantification assays, and reporter gene detection:
• Ca2+ measurements (e.g. Ca2+ Flux with Fura-2, Indo-1, or FLUO-3/4)
• Enzyme activity assays (caspase, protease)
• Biomolecular interaction assays (FRET / BRET assays)
• DELFIA® assays
• Luminescence ELISA

The FLUOstar OPTIMA FL comes standard with the well-established OPTIMA Reader Control Software and powerful Data Analysis Software, MARS. MARS has full graphing capability, FDA 21 CFR part 11 compliance, and a full suite of bioanalysis functions built in: one click calculations of Z', S/N, %CVs, standard deviations, well-scanning visualization, Lineweaver-Burk plots, IC-50/EC-50, enzyme kinetic calculations, Michaelis-Menten kinetic evaluations, regressions, unknown calculations, undilution features, and much, much more.
The modularity of the FLUOstar OPTIMA FL allows users to upgrade the instrument at any time with additional detection modes, including UV/Vis absorbance, fluorescence polarization and Simultaneous Dual Emission detection.
