Description
PHERAstar FS - Next Generation HTS Microplate Reader
The PHERAstar FS has new and unique features that make it superior to any other microplate reader currently on the market. It performs all the leading non-isotopic detection technologies such as:
- Ultra-fast UV/Vis Absorbance Spectra
- Fluorescence Intensity, including FRET
- Fluorescence Polarization
- Time-Resolved Fluorescence, including TR-FRET
- High-end AlphaScreen®
- Luminescence (flash and glow), including BRET
The PHERAstar FS incorporates BMG LABTECH’s unique Tandem Technology utilizing an ultra-fast UV/Vis spectrometer for UV/Vis absorbance and high-performance optical filters for all other detection modes. The PHERAstar FS is also equipped with a nitrogen laser for TRF/TR-FRET measurements and a solid-state laser for AlphaScreen®. Application specific Optic Modules can be activated by a simple mouse click, and all the necessary components are selected automatically for the particular detection mode. Assay flexibility is enhanced by top / bottom reading, on-board reagent injectors for precise kinetic measurements, temperature control up to 45°C and multimode shaking capabilities. The PHERAstar FS provides uncompromised sensitivity, speed and dynamic range in plate formats up to 3456.

The Wizard creates an easy step-by-step calculation of a standard curve and the Template Manager is an excellent tool for building complex data processing protocols. Thus, user-defined data analysis is done simply with one click of the mouse. Improved robotic integration capabilities via DDE or ActiveX interface, digital signature and FDA 21 CFR part 11 compliance complete this software package.
