Exo- Klenow Fragment (Cloned)
from
Ambion
Description
Ambion® Exonuclease-free Klenow Fragment is a genetically engineered Klenow polymerase in which the 3' to 5' exonuclease activity has been removed, leaving only the 5' to 3' polymerase activity. One tube containing 750 U (5 U⁄μL) is provided. The elimination of exonuclease activity makes Exo- Klenow Fragment the enzyme of choice for isotopic or biotin labeling of DNA probes by the random-primed method, and for DNA sequencing by the Sanger dideoxy method. The Exo- Klenow Fragment is thoroughly tested for nonspecific contaminating endonuclease, exonuclease, and protease activity. Functionality is determined with a random-priming reaction.
Unit Definition:
One unit of enzyme incorporates 10 nmol of deoxynucleotides into acid insoluble material in 30 min at 37°C.
