Description
The Bac-to-Bac® Baculovirus Expression System is an efficient method for producing recombinant baculovirus for expression testing in insect cells. The Bac-to-Bac® System relies on generation of recombinant baculovirus by site-specific transposition in E. coli rather than homologous recombination in insect cells.
Specifications/Features
Kit Contents:
Each Bac-to-Bac® Baculovirus Expression System includes 10 µg of pFastBac™1 vector, 0.5 ml MAX Efficiency® DH10Bac™ Chemically Competent Cells, pFastBac™ 1-Gus control vector, and 1 ml of Cellfectin® Reagent. The Bac-to-Bac¤ Vector Kit contains only the expression and control vectors as described above. Store MAX Efficiency® DH10Bac™ Competent Cells at -80°C. Store Cellfectin® Reagent and vectors at +4°C. All components are guaranteed stable for 6 months when properly stored.
Features:
• Time-saving expression bacmid: With Bac-to-Bac®, the expression cassette of the pFastBac™ vector recombines with the parent bacmid in DH10Bac™ E. coli Competent Cells to form an expression bacmid. The bacmid is then transfected into insect cells for production of recombinant baculovirus particles.
