Magnetic bead-based nucleic acid(RNA/DNA) purification is widely used technology in the preparation of the NGS libraries. The magnetic beads can specifically bind with nucleic acids of different size by altering the ethanol concentration. After an appropriate incubation time, the beads can be placed in DynaMag-2 stand which results in separation of the beads in the solution thereby purifying the nucleic acids.

The magnetic cleanup module is used to purify the nucleic acid of specific length by altering the ethanol volume which is the deterrent factor for binding the nucleic acid. After an appropriate incubation time, the beads which are bound to RNA or DNA can be easily separated by fixing the tube to the DynaMag stand.
Longer incubation on the stand increase the yield
Purified DNA or RNA of appropriate sizes are obtained from the beads by incubating the beads on the stand followed by washing and finally eluting with preheated nuclease-free water.
This magnetic stand based DNA RNA separation is straight forward which eliminates lengthy column based purification.
