Product Name:

GloMax 20/20 Luminometer

Catalog Number:

E5311

The GloMax 20/20 Luminometer is a great machine for evaluating luminescence via reporter assays. It is very easy to use and generates results quickly.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Reporter Assays

Starting Material

Human cancer cells

Protocol Overview

Cancer cells can be transfected with desired luciferase-tagged reporters. Reagents such as the Dual-Glo Luciferase Assay reagents can be added to the cells, transferred to eppendorf tubes, and read on machine.

Tips

One should perform a standard curve with cell numbers to make sure machine is accurate with readings

Results Summary

The output from machine is raw counts. Raw counts can be compared to control (such as treated vs. untreated controls) to generate percentages of effect or relative luciferase activity (quotient of firefly to renilla luciferase).
