The ATPlite Luminescence Assay System is very easy to use as it involves two simple steps to determine cell viability based on amount of ATP present. Little optimization is required for usage of this product.
Cell viability assays with luminescence
Human breast cancer cells
Half of recommended lysis buffer may be added to lyse cells and release ATP. Half of recommended substrate reagent may be added to determine cell viability. Cell viaiblity was determined following addition of cytotoxic drugs/agents.
It is important to test compound interference with luminescence in order to obtain accurate results.
Cell viability is determined by comparison of ATP content of treated cells with untreated cells.
