When it is important to prove that the cells of interest are true endothelial cells or to visualize blood vessels in tissues, the researchers frequently use antibodies against the endothelial cell marker, CD31. We stained tumor-associated vasculature to analyze the structural differences in angiogenic blood vessels developing in the mice of different genetic background. We used rat anti-mouse CD31 antibody MEC 13.3 from BD Pharmingen to visualize tumor-associated vasculature in murine LLC primary tumors.
