This precoated VEGF ELISA can be used to detect VEGF levels in spent cell culture media. In this experiment, a target gene was knocked down by siRNA treatment and the effect on the release of VEGF by treated cells was determined by analyzing VEGF levels in spent media.

Media was collected from wells and spun at 10 000 g for 15 minutes to remove any debris. Kit instructions were followed to acquire a standard curve and determine VEGF levels
