Akt is a key player in various cellular processes including cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Akt phosphorylation modulates these signaling cascades. While comparing the relative phosphorylation before and after treatment, total Akt is used a loading control. We compared the Akt phosphorylation in NIH3T3 cells and used total Akt antibody as a loading control.
