This product is fantastic for excluding dead cells in flow cytometry. After doing a lung epithelial cell prep, we resuspend the cells at 10^7/ml in DMEM + 2%FBS and add DRAQ7 at 1:200. The dead cells show up in the APC CY7 channel and there is great separation between live and dead. Some of the products I used in the past had a weaker signal and gave a less dramatic separation. I highly recommend this product.
Flow Cytometry
Mouse Lung
Dissociate lung tissue using 15U/ml of Dispase, incubate 45 mins at room temp. Pipet the digested tissue up and down to further dissociate the cells, and filter through a 70um and 40um filter.
Make sure to vortex your cells before running flow
DRAQ7 is a great product to exclude dead cells.
