Company:

Bio-Rad

Product Name:

SsoAdvanced™ Universal SYBR® Green Supermix

Catalog Number:

1725271

This is the only SYBR green mix we use with our CFX Connect and we came across it via Bio-Rad's awesome service contract. I don't have a whole lot to compare it to, but it works phenomenally in our hands and I would be very hesitant to trust another green mix with my precious RNA samples. We often run qPCR on smaller populations of sorted cells and I'm sometimes a bit iffy on the amount of RNA I yield, but using the bio-rad system I've always gotten good housekeeping values and believable CTs for my genes of interest. We use it in combination with their cDNA kit too, so I can't really speak to its performance without the full Bio-Rad situation.

The Bottom Line

Works well! Would highly recommend if you have a bio-rad qPCR machine-they cut you a deal on the service contract.
