ZYMO Fecal DNA Extraction Kit

After battling with several DNA extraction kits using a complex sample I found that this kit destroyed the competition with yield, speed and ease of processing, and cost. This prep was essential for me to perform high throughput sample processing with extremely time sensitive clinical samples. The yield was 10 fold above the competition. It performed perfectly for all of my downstream analysis. This does require a bead beater, For high throughput sample preparation, I would suggest one that holds multiple tubes. Also, do not forget to spin the IV-HRC tubes PRIOR to adding the sample. I made this silly mistake one time. The DNA yield and quality still remained higher than competitor kits, just more dilute when compared against the samples prepared properly using the sun down IV-HRC tube.
