This antibody from this company has been used extensively in my research. The purpose is to block non specific binding. This antibody was used versus not used on myeloid cells and compared for staining with another anti-mouse primary monoclonal antibody.

The results suggest that this Fc block did not do anything to the staining with the mAb-AlexaFluor647. I would expect that Fc's are expressed by myeloid cells and there may be nonspecific binding to enhance the signal of the mAb-AlexaFluor647, however this was not the case.
