Product Name:

Brilliant Violet 510™ anti-mouse CD8a Antibody

Catalog Number:

100752

This clone of anti-CD8a antibody is commonly used in immunology labs to detect mouse CD8+ T cells. We chose this fluorochrome (BV 510) in our efforts to design a 10 color panel to detect CD8+ and CD4+ T cells in the spleen and thymus.

Results Summary

Shown here a initial titration experiment with 2-fold dilutions between 1:50 to 1:800 to determine the optimal amount needed to stain 2 million cells. Based on calculation of signal to noise ratio and the histogram plots, we decided to use 1:200 for all our subsequent experiments.

Summary

The Good

Excellent separation between positive and negative populations. Low background staining

The Bad

Significant overflow into the neighboring BV605/SB600 channel.

The Bottom Line

Excellent choice for the BV510 fluorochrome. When designing staining panel, ensure that antibody used in BV605/SB600 channel is not co-expressed on CD8+ T cells to minimize the impact of the significant spillover from BV510.
