Company:

Novus Biologicals

Product Name:

RAMP2 Antibody (4E5)

Catalog Number:

NBP2-01853

We are interested in assessing the levels of certain neuropeptides and their receptors in epithelial tissue. We chose this antibody because the images on Novus's website looked convincing (in human kidney sections). It also has been verified for IHC on FFPE tissue.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Applications

Immunohistochemistry

Sample

Human gingival tissue (epithelium)

Primary Incubation

Dilution: 1 in 100. Overnight incubation, at 4°C.

Secondary Incubation

ACUITYAdvanced Reagent 2 (Boost)

Tertiary Incubation

ACUITYAdvanced Reagent 3 (HRP Polymer)

Detection

DAB (3,3'-diaminobenzidine)

Results Summary

We detected membranous and cytoplasmic staining in the keratinocytes. This is the pattern of expression that was predicted, and is biologically meaningful. We also saw some staining in stromal inflammatory cells, which is also not unexpected.
