Product Name:

Mouse IFN Alpha ELISA Kit (TCM)

Catalog Number:

42120-2

This is a fine kit for measuring IFN-a levels from murine samples. I have used it for serum and BALF samples, and it works well for both. One thing that can be annoying is figuring out the right dilution for your samples (sometimes, we wind up having to dilute more). Further, this kit has an overnight incubation, which can be inconvenient. Overall, though, this kit works. Would recommend for measuring IFN-a levels.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

ELISA

Starting Material

Mouse serum

Protocol Overview

We harvested serum or BALF from mice infected with LCMV. Then we just ran the assay as described (dilute samples, put on plate, incubate, then read on a plate reader).

Tips

First, use a few dilutions so you can get a feel for how much you'll need to use of a certain sample type in the future.
