I am studying inflammation in the lung and used this antibody to define populations and kinetics of immune infiltration. Mice were infected with Streptococcus, and this antibody was used in an 8-color myeloid staining panel analyzed on a BD Canto II. I use Ly6C to distinguish inflammatory monocytes, and have always found it to be reliable and easy to gate. Worked great in PE-Cy7, no issues with compensations or having to adjust laser voltages beyond the norm. You do get a spread of Ly6C high med and low cells, so it can be less than impressive on a single stain control, but this is normal and I just gate Ly6C high vs lo cells for analysis.

Ly6C staining by flow to detect inflammatory monocytes in lungs. Good clear staining, didn't have any issues with compensation or anything. Looks similar to results obtained with Ly6C in other colors. No issues. Samples are unfixed.
