Product Name:

CD45.2 Monoclonal Antibody (104), FITC

Catalog Number:

11-0454

I am studying pulmonary inflammation, and used this antibody to define populations and kinetics of immune infiltration into the lung. Mice were infected with Streptococcus, and this antibody was used in an 5-color myeloid staining panel analyzed on a BD Canto II. Someone in our lab had previously purchased this antibody, and it worked great in my panel. I typically opt to put CD45 in a less reliable channel when doing more complex panels (typically AmCyan or Alexa700), but CD45 is beautiful on FITC, and a great choice assuming you use 8 or 10 colors.

Results Summary

Great staining. Not surprising given that its CD45... I usually put CD45 on a weak channel since its so abundant (like Alexa700), but tried this since our lab already had the Ab. Beautiful, clear staining in FITC.

The Bottom Line

Looks great, I probably would still chose to put CD45 in a weaker channel so I can detect something more critical in this channel, but if you are only doing a 3 color panel, this is a great choice.
