RediJect Coelenterazine h Bioluminescent Substrate

Catalog Number:

760506

Our lab uses HIV molecular clones that express Renilla luciferase reporter. We have developed different mouse models that support HIV infection, and test different therapeutics and vaccines in our models. Using this in vivo imaging kit, we can detect HIV infection in vivo, and visualize any protective role that our treatments are providing.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

In vivo imaging

Starting Material

HIV infected mice

Protocol Overview

Very simple to use. You just inject the Coelenterazine h right before imaging, and image the mice immediately. It gets cleared from their system within 30 min, so you could image again later.

Tips

Make sure to image animals before injecting the substrate, so that you remove any background bioluminescence.

Results Summary

You can get great images that visualize where the infection is predominantly located in the animal.
