Company:

Thermo Fisher Scientific

Product Name:

Maxima First Strand cDNA Synthesis Kit for RT-qPCR, with dsDNase

Catalog Number:

K1671

Our lab was looking for cheaper and easier alternative to the SuperScript RT kits. The Maxima kit works out cheaper and everything is supplied as one master mix so it is easier to set up a lot of reactions. Additionally, the entire RT process is completed in 30 minutes, which is much faster than our SuperScript III kit. I've used this RNA from a number of mouse cells to make cDNA prior to qPCR.
