In the present study, MCP1, which is a chemokine, was quantified in diabetic and non-diabetic mouse pancreatic tissue samples which were kept in specific treatment. Selection of R&D MCP1 ELISA kit was based on price per quantification and merits shown in kit flyer.
Quantification of MCP1 levels in diabetic and non-diabetic mice pancreatic tssue
Centrifuge tube with mouse pancreatic tissue, homozenizer, DPBS, Centrifuge, Pipette, ELISA reader, MCP1 ELISA kit.
Mouse of 4 weeks age were chemically induced with diabetes and allowed to grow under specific treatment. After completion of specific treatment, mice were sacrificed, pancreatic tissue was collected and homogenized in PBS. Pancreatic tissue homogenate was centrifuged and supernatant was used as test sample for quantification of MCP1 using R&D MCP1 ELISA kit as per manufacturer instructions.

After colour development using chromogen substrate, absorbance was read at 450 nm wavelength. ELISA kit was very sensitive and specific to MCP1 and detected its target molecule even at ng range.
