Company:

Santa Cruz Biotechnology

Product Name:

TIA-1 Antibody (C-20)

Catalog Number:

sc-1751

I have tested many TIA-1 antibodies to find one better than this... I have not found one. This antibody works well in human and mouse tissue, for IP, and OK for Western Blots. Although the antibody needs to be used at higher concentrations, there is not another I have found to stain human and mouse tissue.

Results Summary

Antibody stains cells and tissues well, showing mostly nuclear staining and upon stress translocation to the cytoplasm and granule formation. Has worked for cell lines, human and mouse tissues, IPs, and at 1:500 via Western Blot but not great. The issue with this antibody is lot reproducibility, we have lots that work great and other lots that don't work at all.

The Good

Best antibody we have found for all applications

The Bad

Lot reproducibility not good

The Bottom Line

Worth a try for any application. I have found others that work better via Western blot, but none that work as well on human or mouse tissue.
