Our lab wants to image the macrophages in the mouse retina and we used this primary antibody with different secondary markers to see them using fluorescent microscopy of whole mounted tissue.
Immunofluorescence
Fixed whole mouse retina
1:200 primary antibody, 2 hours at room temperature in staining buffer (or overnight at 4 degrees Celsius)
Goat serum
1:250 or 1:300 secondary antibody, 1 or 2 hours at room temperature in staining buffer (or overnight at 4 degrees Celsius)

We were able to clearly visualize F4/80+ cells in various layers of the mouse retinal tissue once it was mounted to a slide.
