X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis protein (XIAP) is a member of Inhibitor of apoptosis family; also known as inhibitor of apoptosis protein 3 (IAP3) and baculoviral IAP repeat-containing protein 4 (BIRC4). XIAP is a protein that stops apoptotic cell death by binding and inhibiting Caspases 3, 7 and 9. The present study aims to check the expression of XIAP in HEK293 cells by western blot.
