The ubiquitin proteasome system is critical for maintaining cellular health and defects in the system can result in pathogenesis of many diseases. Ubiquitination is a post translational modification that targets mis or unfolded protein aggregates to the proteasome for degradation. The goal of this experiment was to determine whether there was an increase in ubiquitination in total protein lysates due to a variety of different treatment conditions.
