The overall goal of my research is to study HIV transmission in receptive anal intercourse. The specific goal is to study the HIV target cell abundance in different tissues. This antibody was chosen as company site indicates that it was previously successfully tested in Rhesus Macaques and company also states that it was tried in fluorescence applications, this color is commonly used for flow applications.

Results Summary

Antibody worked great! Very nice and specific signal was detected with minimal background was detected in the blue channel since antibody is so bright. The only downside is that it is not recommended to use DAPI or other nuclei staining dyes as this color is in blue too. For that reason I chose to stain nuclei with DRAQ5 which is in far red channel.
