Our group studies T cells in the blood of untreated chronic HIV+ individuals. We are constantly expanding and optimizing our T cell panels to measure various T cell subsets, activation, and inhibitory receptor phenotype. We recently have begun employing mass cytometry to extend the number of parameters we can measure per cell. We chose CD86-156Gd to measure B cell activation because it was commercially available.

Results Summary

We used a fluorescently-labeled version of CD86 to determine the optimal volume of CD86-156Gd to use in our mass cytometry panel. 0.5uL was the optimal volume and staining on unstimulated and SEB stimulated (1ug/mL) B cells is shown in the attached image.
