Mounting can be used to mount the fluorescently labeled sections on the glass slide. It protects the fluorescence for long time and prevents bleaching. It specifically stains the nucleus.
Immunofluorescence
Rat retina
Add one drop of the medium over section after the completion of immunostaining. Gently mount the cover slip and observe under fluorescent microscope with DAPI filter.
Use very little drop. Excess use will overflow the slide and section.
Can distinctly see the nucleus of each cell from the section.

Stains very fast
Not helpful in fixing the cover slip to slide.
Can be used to visualize the nucleus from the tissue sample. However, not good as a mounting medium.
