This probe is reaaly helpful to discern between alive and dead cells. Alive cells can be observed with green colour with the FITC channel under microscope.

It is a good probe for discerning alive from dead cells in your cell cultures. Alive cells can be observed in the FITC channel while dead cells can be observed by ethidium staining.
Needs to be optimized the concentration of the dye
We used this with our cell cultures to check the cell viability after we exposed the cells to different conditions such as a polymer or a drug. It is easy to use and not time consuming.
