Our lab routinely orders leukopacks and uses primary human T cells for experiments. We use anti-human CD3 and CD28 + IL-2 to activate these cells. We previously used anti-human CD28 from BD (cat. 555725) which is almost $300 per vial (0.5mg). Tonbo's equivalent product is about a third of the price so we decided to test Tonbo's anti-human CD28 in comparison to BD antibody. Tonbo's antibody performed just as well as the one we previously used from BD so we decided to switch and exclusively use Tonbo's anti-human CD28 for activation of human T cells isolated from peripheral blood.
