In my research group, we use this kit to measure the amount of OTF in chickens that receive different treatments that affect the inflammation process in chickens.We choose this kit by indication of another research group.
In vitro determination of Ovotranferrin levels in chicken body fluids
21 days chicken plasma
1 - Bring all reagents at Room temperature;2 - Set blank wells, sample wellss and standard wells;3 - Add 50uL of OTF standards previously diluted and add 50uL of plasma samples;4 - Add 100ul of HRP-conjugate reagent to each well;5 - Incubate the covered plate at 37ºC for 60 minutes;6 - Wash the plate 4 times;7 - Add 50 ul Chromogen solution A and 50 uL of Chromogen solution B;8 - Incubate the covered plate protect from light at 37ºC for 15 minutes;9 - Add 50 ul of Stop Solution and read the absorbance at 450nm.10 - generate a linear regretion graphic and calculate the concentration in samples.
Read all the protocol before proceed and do not use diluted samples.
The linear regretion has a R² iqual to 0,9965.

It is very stable, fast and the results have low variation.
It is very expensive, each 96-well plate $810
This was a very good surprise. It is not often find such rapid kit for poultry samples.
