I have developed a model of drug resistance to an anti-cancer drug, and performed proteomic analysis to understand the molecular signling pathways that confer resistance. Vials of the antibodies were leftover in the lab from previous use by other investigators. Generally, I prefer Cell Signaling antibodies because they are well-validated and tend to perform well.

Results Summary

The bands were distinguishable, but there was smearing on the blot that wasn't observed on blots ran in parallel and probed with other antibodies (likely not due to transfer).

Overall a decent antibody. Some other FAK antibodies have much worse background, so not too bad all in all. Would be difficult to measure relative band intensity.
