Company:

Novus Biologicals

Product Name:

Syntaxin 5 Antibody

Catalog Number:

NBP1-80771

Syntaxin-5 is known to locaize to the Endoplasmic reticulum-Golgi intermediate compartment membrane and Golgi apparatus (abundant in the cis-most cisternae) membrane. So its localization can be used as a marker of Golgi apparatus.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Applications

Immunofluorescence

Sample

HeLa cells

Primary Incubation

Overnight

Blocking Agent

5% BSA prepared in PBS

Secondary Incubation

Coverslips were incubated for 1 hour at room temperature (in a dark chamber) with goat anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) Secondary Antibody, Alexa Fluor® 488 conjugate 1:400 diluted in 1% BSA- PBS.

Tertiary Incubation

None

Detection

Coverslips were inverted onto a glass slide with a drop of mounting media and Imaged using Zeiss LSM 700 confocal fluorescence microscope.

Results Summary

The syntaxin 5 is stained in green and it does not seem to co-localize even partially with GM130 and syntaxin 5 staining seems to be non-specific.
