Product Name:

CellTiter-Glo® Luminescent Cell Viability Assay

Catalog Number:

G7571

CellTiter-Glo® Luminescent Cell Viability Assay was used to assay viability of cells treated with compounds that induced non apoptotic cell death in cancer cells. A pilot study was first conducted to ensure sensitivity of assay kit to detect increasing ATP levels increasing cell density

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Viability Assay

Starting Material

Human U251 glioma cells

Protocol Overview

Human U251 glioma cells were seeded in 96 well (white opaque) tissue culture plates at different densities (see image). Viability was assayed after 24 hours of growth following the protocol provided by manufacturer. Protocol is easy. Combine equal proportions of substrate and buffer provided, apply on cells, mix and incubate for 10 minutes or more and read luminescence using a Luminometer.

Tips

This is a very easy assay to perform and protocol is easy to follow.

Results Summary

Result shows increasing luminescence readout with increasing cell density.
