UREA/BUN-UV KIT
11516
A common blood test, the blood urea nitrogen (BUN) test reveals important information about kidneys and liver working status. It measures the amount of nitrogen in blood that comes from the waste product urea. Urea is made when protein is broken down in your body. Urea is made in the liver and passed out of your body in the urine.
To know the function of kidney
Fresh plasma samples.
Plasma/urine collected by heparin tubes and diluted to 1/50 with distilled water. All reagents prepared according to their protocol. Taken the absorbance at 340nm after 30sec and 90 sec.
Reagent A and B prepared freshly.
Observed elevated levels of urea in diabetic samples.
Spectrophotometer should be able to read at 340 nm.
Simple procedure.
