Epithelial growth proliferation factor (EGFR) is present on cells that is involved in cellular proliferation. Upon ligand binding, it undergoes dimerization and autophosphorylation which further mediates the signals to downstream modules. It is often overexpressed in several cancers and is targeted for anti-cancer therapeutics. We used anti-EGFR antibody to determine differential EGFR levels in several cancer cells.
