Our lab focused on the clonal heterogeneity in various tissues. As part of our project, need to isolate single cells from various tissues (liver, lung, brain) from mouse and tumors. The reason we choose MACS dissociator because it has pre-programmed optimized for single cell preparations - lung, brain and tumor.

Protocol Overview

Its very easy to operate and comes various pre-programmed optimized single cell preparation. Depends on the tissue type, some protocol includes 2 mechanical dissociation however protocol is very short (2-5 min) for mechanical dissociation part. It needs special tudes (C tubes - sold separately) to use in the instrument.

Results Summary

We obtained single cells from Brain, lung, Neuron and tumor from this MACS dissociator. The dissociated cells appeared healthy, high viability after the dissociation. The instrument is very compact and doesn't need lot of spaces.
