E-Gel bio safe imager and precast gel is very compact, comes with own adapter in the imager system. The running time is very short (7-10 min), easy to operate and does not require any buffer in the tank.

Protocol Overview

The E gel imager system comes with pre- programmed running time for different pre-cast gel such 0.8%, 1%, 2% and 4%. We can also manually adjust the time for the pre-cast gel. Usually it takes 10 min for 1% agarose gel.

Don't overload the DNA

Results Summary

The pre-cast gel 1% resolves product size range from size range from under 5kb. The 2% precast gel resolves product below 1kb. The maximum amount of sample 20-25 ul is required and slightly smaller quantities of DNA, as low as 20 ng for a single band to maximum of 200-300ng of DNA per well, can be loaded E-gel electrophoresis.
