PC12 were transfected with various forms (lacking N, C terminus of both) of light chain protease of botulinum neurotoxin type A linked to GFP.
Custom antibody against cleaved SNAP-25 (cyan) were used to detect specific cleavage of SNAP-25. Total SNAP-25 was detected by mouse monoclonal anti-SNAP-25 antibody (red). Cell nuclei labeled by DAPI (blue). Efficient cleavage is detected in all GFP-transfected cells by all forms of proteolytic enzymes.
